Candidate shall be self-motivated, demonstrate a strong work ethic, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, have robust interpersonal skills, exhibit strong organization skills, be detail oriented and proficiently multitask while performing the following responsibilities:
• Increase sales opportunities for our Principals’ by promoting their products and/or services.
• Respond to technical, commercial, and sales questions and customer requests in a timely manner.
• Prepare and give product and services sales presentations to customers.
• Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales calls.
• Readiness to travel to customer facilities, principal’s manufacturing facilities, and conferences / trade shows.
• Prepare sales reports and account plans detailing your in-depth understanding of the customer and their needs.
• Develop short-term and long-term sales strategies based on customer feedback and requirements.
• Support principal’s work processes, sales tools, and participate in Principal sales meetings.
• Provide training to other employees regarding technical and sales aspects of the Principal’s products and services.
• Work with other members of the sales teams, including inside sales, to support Principal and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree with 12 years of commensurate experience in a Power related industry (Utility, Generation, Industrial, Consulting, etc.) or a Bachelor Degree with 8 years of commensurate experience in a Power related industry. Must be proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, TEAMS, and Access a plus). The ideal candidate will demonstrate previous history of:
• Strong writing, proofreading, documentation, listening and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Work within the guidelines of a process AND contribute to process improvements.
• Work within and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrating accountability and dependability.
• Time management and prioritization skills are a necessity.
• Take directions and ask questions, as needed.
Plus:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in technical sales environment
